What are you saying? Do you mean that the caliper is holding on and thus causing a lot of heat or are you trying to say something else? If you're saying that the caliper is holding then have you tried bleeding the brakes? Did you check to make sure everything fit well? Sometimes the rotors are out of round and can actually hit/rub the caliper when you drive and thus cause some heat. Are the brakes backing off when you let go of the brakes?

to my knowledge they are backing off... but cant be certian... is there a test? the rotors are brand new. i do know that as i was resetting the pistons on the front caliper one of the cyls. was stuck but then free'd itself and went all the way in... i did not bleed anything never have... is it poss. to get air in the line if the sys is never opened?

It's not normally possible, unless you have a leak somewhere. Well there could be some build up behind the caliper and thus why it might of been stuck. You'll want to take the wheels off and turn the rotors, with no pressure from the brakes, and see if you hear some rubbing (either from the pads or calipers). There might be some VERY slight rubbing from the pads which is okay, but there shouldn't be that much and it should be even throughout the whole turn. If there is rubbing from the pads and it's not even throughout the turn then you better fix that or you'll get a flat spot on the rotor which will feel like warped rotors. There shouldn't be any rubbing of the caliper on the rotor. Is there any noise from the brakes when you ride without applying the brakes? How old is the fluid? Is the fluid clear/clean? If not then I would recommend on replacing it.

no noises... and the fluid... i know has at least 90k on it... i know the caliper is on right and not touching the rotor... i will try spinning the rotor tommo and see if anything... if i recall correctly i did have some uneven wear on the old pads... is there a way poss to test the pistons.... break the caliper all the way dn and press the break...? and try pushing it back in? idk?

Try to bleed the calipers and see if crap comes out the bleeder. Don't press the brake with the pads off of the caliper. If you press the brake with everything off the caliper, the piston could pop right out and mess up the seal. Then you would have to go buy another one or rebuild it yourself. Other than this, try to see if anything is rubbing against anything else that might be causing the wheel to heat up excessively. It's hard to tell what your problem is since I can't inspect it myself.
