Hi all, first lets get some details out of the way
- 2016 Yukon Denali
- swapped 22'' OEM wheels for 18'' take offs from a 2021 Silverado Trailboss for the bigger sidewall
- 46k miles
- current rotors warped (and have been since ~ 20k miles)

I recently moved from the flat midwest to Colorado and wanted the bigger sidewalls so that I was more comfortable off road. Now, with the warped rotors, it's a nightmare coming down the mountain!

What aftermarket kits can I change out to that has more stopping power? Been checking on the wildwoods but looking for any/all suggestions!

I've been running mine for about 8k miles and performing well so far. I did not purchase the upgraded PowerStop brake calipers when I got the new rotors and pads, but an option as well. Painted options available if you call I think. Noticeable improvement over stock, particularly with my heavier than OE specs wheel/tire setup.

BTW - Welcome to beautiful state of CO and the TYForum! I'm a 5280 native and miss them mountains

Safe Travels!

Thanks for the reply! Been on the forum for a while as I had a 2004 Hoe and now a 2016 Denali. I'm just a lurker most of the time :)

I have the power stop Z36 on my 2006 Yukon XL Denali. I upgraded to the larger gmt900 front calipers and rotors with the drilled and slotted rotors with the Ower stop powder coated calipers and their carbon fiber ceramic pads. I live in the mountains in Southern California and I travel quite often to other larger mountains. The Z36 kit has been on my truck for about a year now and it’s fantastic. Second round of brakes having drilled and slotted rotors and it’s great! The bigger front brakes make a big difference for me going up and down the mountain and the drilled and slotted rotors last quite a bit longer for me than stock rotors. Love the power stop pads too as they shed almost no brake rust whatsoever.
