Just put a set of Duelers on the 08 Tahoe yesterday....it's got the 17s and no matter how diligent I am with rotation/balance and maintaining air pressure I cannot get more than 30K out of a set of tires. Good news is the Cooper Discoverers that came off had a 65K warranty and only lasted 27K...got almost $90 apiece back on them.

Duelers have an 80K warranty and were $146 apiece before the credit...total bill out the door was just over $330. Hopefully they will last longer but I'm not optimistic. GM should never have spec'ed a 17" tire...it's just not enough. The 20s on my Yukon last over twice as long.

Exactly my point. Thinking back on it, I do now recall having one set that didn't give me issues with vibration, but they wore very funny. I kept them rotated religiously/balanced, up to date with alignments, and again, they wore oddly, and I definitely did not get the full life out of them like I have previously with my Michelin's, or Destination LE/2's.

Wife got some michelin premier ltx for her acadia and they are so buttery smooth vs the crap eagles she had, I was going to replace my oem dueller alenzas (20") with some ltx. Now the alenzas have actually been excellent tires, and I just turned 40k - never a vibration issue in 3 years with regular rotation. Wet traction may be dropping a little bit lately.

So I go to discount tire for a rotation waiting for them to try to sell me (play reluctant and broke for better deal), but they didnt say a word. He then showed me I have tons of tread left after 40k, and commented how good those alenzas hold up. Last holiday sale I think the alenzas were about 1/3 less. Pretty good tire imho...

Must of had the wheels balanced 4 times since getting the Bridgestone tires on at Costco. Backend still feels like they have no weights. Rear of the car feels like the tires have bubbles in them, but 3 different places say the balancing is good. I hate to go buy brand new Michelin tires just to diagnose if these Bridgestones are crap.

I will never go back to the Duelers, I just put a set of Firestone Destination's on the Tahoe and it rides a lot better than the Bridgestones. Less money, and carries the same warranty.
I had them on the last 3 trucks, check them out if you haven't already...

I got some new 22 Dueler from discount tire Feb 2015. Vibration. They rebalanced, still vibrated over 50. Took to local shop, still vibrated. Took to GMC dealership to diagnose and they rebalanced them and smooth as butter on the highway. Was such a relief. I've had 3 of my wheels replaced due to finish flaking and took them to dealership to do the swap and still super smooth.

So when I bought my 2006 i guess it needed tires when the gmc dealership took it back as a trade in. The slapped on new Bridgestone dueler alenzas on my stock 17 Denali rims. Truck rode like crap. Lots of vibration. Had the tires balanced and rotated 4 times. The last time on a road force machine. No fix. Had a front end alignment done and decided to buy new tires. Tire shop that did the alignment had an almost brand new set of michelin LTX A/T2 tires sitting there that were take offs with about 500 miles on them that happened to be the exact same size as my tires. He sold me all 4 mounted and balanced for $300! I couldn't pass up the deal. So I said why the hell not ill take them. He mounted and balanced them. As soon as I pulled into street and started driving the vibration went away. So in my opinion I don't like the Bridgestone dueler tire. Love my Michelins.
