Hey guys, I have run into a problem.

Today I attempted to seafoam my Yukon. I was successful in seafoaming correctly and plenty of white smoke came out. :head3:

While attempting to reconnect the vacuum hose, it broke. I did not realize that it was made out of rigid plastic because of the foam that was covering it.

I was able to duct tape the hose back together so I could drive my truck to Autozone and try and find a replacement. They did not have a replacement, so I purchased some black rubber hose that was 5/16" in diameter (same diameter of the rubber hose ends that hold the OEM hose in place) and replaced the hose with that. I am not sure how this is going to work out in the long run since the OEM hose is made out of plastic and this replacement hose is made out of rubber.

After running the truck for a while I checked the hose and everything seems to be working fine. I am also noticing my truck to idle smoother since the seafoam treatment. But this new replacement house is very warm. This worries me since it is made out of rubber.

I have searched and searched online and have yet to find a replacement hose for the one that broke. I believe that it is called the PCV hose, but am not sure. And none of the the GM parts websites have anything called a PCV hose. If anyone knows where I can find a replacement or a part number for this hose that would be great. Thanks!

My truck is a 2004 Yukon XL 5.3L 2WD FLEX

rubber hose was used long before they started to use pre shaped tubing. it might have been soft at one time but as the years roll on and all of the heat that it see's even the soft rubber hose will get hard
