In police & SSV GM went to a 16” rotor w/ the 6 piston Brembo calipers approx 2021. It’s RPO code J49 if purchased new from the factory. That same package fits the 07-14 / NNBS knuckle. GM offers it for 15-20 vehicles as a $2k+ accessory option. OEM front rotors can not be used. 20 or 22 rims required for this option as well as potentially swapping spare tire to back rim if you get a flat up front.

Thread 'Brembo Brake Upgrade. WARNING'

There is no matching 4 pot rear Brembo calipers for the rear yet but GM does offer a set of matching painted red OEM size calipers to swap for $400 lol.

As far as other Mfg brake discs you’d have to go to some place like Brembo’s catalog to verify the center bore, offset and rotor thickness are a match.

A kit for Vette ZR-1 6 pot monoblock calipers up front / 4 pot rears using adapters is available. You source your own calipers and rotors though. 22” min rims required and 1/2” spacers needed up front on some rims. Some 20” rims may work. I put my kit together for just the front for $1.2k scouring off eBay getting all new parts.

Good info.

Has anyone investigated how much rotor will fit inside the stock calipers? Is it possible to increase to 13.3" or 13.5" without modification?

Do the new ‘21-‘23 rotors replace the stock ‘07-‘14 rotors that don’t work with the new calipers? If not, which rotors are used?

OEM 21-23 rotors are replaced with 16” rotors.

For Gen III or 07-14, a 1/2” spacer for the OEM 22” rims is required to clear the ZR1 monoblock 6 pot brembo caliper kit. It needs longer studs too. Both the ZR1 monoblock & GM 2 pc brembo kit must use the same upgraded 16” rotor. The GM brembo kit does not require a spacer between the wheel & rotor.
