Long before the C8 Corvette, GM made another mid engine sports car.

GM botched the first car (budget & political constraints -it couldn't be faster than the Corvette), but it can be saved with a modern engine upgrade and then easily troll its peers. Good times for not much $$$

I've got an LZ9 that would be fun for a Fiero GT conversion.

That is way they stop making them instead of making the vett better!

Oh, I used to read about them in the rags and one of my friends was a zone manager for Buick and he had stories to tell too back then. Scandalous! Chevy made sure the little twin turbo Buick of a few years ago wouldn't upset their apple cart again! LOL

The Vette has gotten better but it probably would have happened at a faster rate if they had to keep up with a faster Fiero, or more GM grand national projects...

What was the difference in the Typhoon and Syclone? I am surprised GM would "go outside the box" at the time and even build them. Very cool!
