what is best easiest method of getting build code descriptions

You can Google "GM RPO Codes" and there will be several sites that will have large lists of codes that will show what the codes are for. Like GU4 is a 3.08 gear ratio. Z56 is Police Package.

@rmuszynski here’s the build sheet for my 2011. Chevy used to just send these to you for the asking. I’m guessing post of the codes will match yours.
