Pioneer has plenty of DD headunits for 300-500 new on ebay. Browse around there and check out the different models with whatever features you like. I'd buy that first then see what you have left in your budget.

I might have to up my budget then or try to find a decent used one then. I am really just looking for ideas for now, I am still a little ways off from actually popping on a system.
I would love to hear some feedback including quality, brands, pricing, etc...Don't really want this thread to turn into a HZ war..
Take the budget out of the picture for now. Which amp, subs, DD are the best bang for there buck? I would love to hear about your personal system or any other systems that anybody has used or seen.
i have an 03 tahoe and i have stock bose speakers and ive popped out the cup holders in the front and i havent really noticed an amp,
where is this stock amp located in
LMAO - 20hz?
Not no, but hellz no.
I find 33-35 works best. Gets loud and still plays 99.9% of everything you can throw at it.
Your ear can just barely start hearing sounds at 20hz. That's the low end of the spectrum for humans, so tuning that low is a waste.
