Building my LQ4 engine in my Denali XL

So quick update...

I switched out the stock TB for a c6 Z06 ported TB a couple of weeks ago as well as replacing the tiny little oil cooler for a TRUcool oil cooler that is now located in the lower grill section behind a aussie downunder powdercoated lower valance piece (his last one). Had to buy an adaptor for the TB and get it retuned but it runs a lot better with that bigger TB (the engine is no longer breathing thru a straw!). Next step is upgrading my interior by installing a custom IPAD mini station in the lower half of the center console...Should look trick when it's complete. After that I'm saving up for the transmission swap in q2 - q3 timeframe. Plan on towing my TT in June back to the Rocky mountains and possibly to YellowStone this year.

408 is what I would have chosen off the bat too. That truck has balls now! No comparison to a stock 6 liter. Im going this route if anything happens to mine. These are trucks, and are intended for truck use.

What do you guys think of the 408 stroker emblem on the grill....i.e. like the M badge on the bimmers or STI badge on the Subaru's

If the wife isn't complaining..your golden. Sounds strong. Would really like to hear it open up, but Trans may not l Iike that lol. Badges are nice and stealthy.

All jokes, what was your final ticket ( build+install ) if you dont mind me asking? Livegood motor sports quoted me on one of their engines for my truck. If i provide my own block 3999 and if i get one via then 4700. This is for a shortblock build with over 700 hp at the crank. does this sound reasonable?

Q2-q3 on transmission. I would guess 10k on just motor without exhaust and other goodies. 15k total if u lucky..

Much higher than 15k all in but I also replaced all the front shocks, rear air shocks, water pump, oil pump, engine mounts, bushings, steering rack, TRUCOOL transmission & oil cooler, LSXRT intake, upgraded TB, injectors, Volant CAI, SSW catted headers....I could have bought a nice car for what I paid. Also all of the labor putting the engine together was done at a GMC dealer and they gave me a 2014 Denali Arcade for 3 to 4 months to build it as well....alot of money was spent. Figure another 5-6k for the transmission, convertor and labor.
