What’s up y’all. So I bought a 07 Yukon today. 4.8L 2WD. It started to run hot, I shut it off, and pop the hood. Nothing. But on the passenger side, water/coolant is dripping from these metal lines tucked in the rocker panel that go down the length of the truck to the back. From what I understand, it’s rear heater core lines. Since it’s to the rear heater, can I bypass it? Will this stop the overheating issue I have, I’ll just lose auxiliary heat/Ac? Any help is appreciated.

Sounds right and can bypass but pics would be great. May be the tees instead and those are a known weak spot.
It’s night and this issue kinda caught me slacking, but it’s not the T’s. Those were replaced with OEM parts a year ago, the engine bay is dry. It’s just the passenger side is leaking in the middle of the vehicle and just recently the rear right in front tire. Again on passenger side. What do I plug or reroute?

If you can live without heating behind you for the winter ...
(Can you REALLY live without cold air for the summer? I sure as schidt canNOT!)
Then you ... temporarily? ... plug the 2 heater hoses that go through the firewall.
They lead to the rear / auxiliary HVAC which lives atop the right rear wheel.
You'll need to fix that leak in the middle of the passenger side before restoring the rear HVAC.

Ok thanks! I saw a part on auto zone like a “U” shaped hose with fittings is that what I need? Just have them flow back into each other from the firewall hoses?

You can unhook both heater hoses from the water pump that connects at the firewall and simply connect them together with a coupling from the hardware store and some hose clamps.
That's an emergency repair if there's a leak in your heater core, which is usually the case. Fine for hot summer months, not so much for winter months.
