My Grandpa is retired and works PT at a Chevy/Buick/GMC/Cadillac dealer owned by a guy he knows. I asked him to keep an eye out for any used Tahoes or Yukons that came in on trade. He called me yesterday to let me know about one.

2002 Tahoe, 4WD, Black on Black w/ Leather, blacked out bowtie in front, custom xenon headlights, 24 inch rims. 98,000 miles, asking $10,900.

Are there any things I need to watch out for? What effect does having such big rims have on other components of the truck?

Also, I'm not a big fan of the rims.... I would likely just sell them and buy a stock set.

Here's a pic the salesman sent me (dealer is 5 hours away from me).

That's cheaper than anything I'm see here in Atlanta, especially with the add-ons. Cars like that are going for at least $3-4k more. Can't hurt to take a look.

Price is nice....ditch the rims for sure along with the side badging....trade those for a set of OEM's and you would have a good start ;)

Maybe the exhaust (or just tip) is aftermarket too?
I know it might not be the popular vote around here, but I don't buy vehicles with aftermarket accessories. In my opinion, most aftermarket is not of good quality and sometimes the installation isn't either. Not always, just in my experiences.

Good luck either way!

I sold my 01 Z71 Tahoe with 150,000 miles in April 2010 for $8,900 so I'd say what you were getting would be a good deal... then just sell those rims and get some factory nnbs 20's :)
