Zac I heard from a lot of people that they are great trucks that one I wanted wasn't good enough even the paint suck the guy had it spray it look like a maaco job lol

At 272k just go ahead and have some money saved up for when the engine and tranny go... Not saying it wont make it for a while, but chances are its getting ready to call it quits.

I have seen Ls motors go over 500k before. It is rare but not unheard of. A lot is going to depend on how it is used and taken care of.

My Sierra had 310k when I got rid of it. But it was a 6.0/4l80 2500... Smoked a little but still ran great. And it had a hard life of towing car haulers and campers...

I figure a well taken care of 5.3 should be fine till 300k... However at that point you start to question reliability with the family in it... Lots of things start to wear and break 200k+...
