Buying a rebuilt/reman tranny

$2,400 sounds about right for R&R; I paid about that much four years ago. At the time, dealer quoted me $3,200 on a remain with 5 year/100,000 warranty. I went with rebuild with a 3 year/50,000 warranty. Unfortunately, the torque converter failed and shredded up into pieces about 5k miles past my warranty. Anyway, I took it back to the same rebuilder and took care of it and I only had to pay for parts. Good luck.
