Buying advice for brake discs for a Tahoe 2007 LTZ. Are performance brake discs absolutely necessary?

Hello dear friends.
I wanted to ask you which brake discs you use on your Tahoe's.
I could order from Rockauto, but I have to pay more than 120 euros for shipping. So I have to look around Germany.
Now I have the option of buying normal ventilated or slotted brake discs. Unfortunately, the problem with my last performance brake discs was, that they were deformed after a while.
I have now received an offer from a German supplier on ebay for performance stainless steel brake discs and brake pads, but there is no manufacturer listed. Only German branded product. But I can also order them from a US car parts dealer. But are not a performance. I just don't want the discs to deform like the old ones and create a kind of wobble effect when braking.

What would you recommend that I should by . Thank you

You'll get a lot of opinions on this, Markus. Here's mine: I have 130K on the original rotors on my '12 XL Denali, with at least 15K of that towing. They still look great and have no warping. My vote goes to OEM rotors for trouble-free performance. I have Powerstop rotors (non-slotted, non-drilled, just plain old rotors) on my 2007 XL Denali and have about 30K on those and they're also doing fine, so for aftermarket they seem like a good choice.

Lots of folks here run bigger rotors and calipers, but then you're talking a lot more money, of course.

@Geotrash Thank you so much. That's a word. I don't want to make a mistake again. The last one were also from eBay US, but after 1000 km you were feeling a big wobble.
So I will follow you and get me the right a normal once.

performance brakes are not necessary, I would get regular rotors or whatever rotors you can get, but then get good ceramic pads, they will last the longest and make little dust and should be less prone to warping, other pads like semi-metallic ones wear faster and seem prone to leave more material on the rotor causing warping, just my opinion.

+1 to the ceramic pads. I run the Powerstop Clean Ride Z17 on my 2007 and they produce no dust and stop well. So far, they're wearing very well also. Another important step: use a torque wrench when you tighten the lug nuts down using a criss-cross pattern. Very important. 140 ft. lbs (190 N-m). Most rotor warping comes from uneven torque on the lug nuts.

I'm happy with the OEM pads and rotors on my 2010 Yukon Denali. I bought the vehicle used with 40,000 miles on it, and I assume the brakes were still original. It is now at 145,000 miles (including 50,000 miles of towing a 7,000 pound trailer). I'm scheduled for new front brakes next week. (the rears were done at 99,000 miles).

I like the OEM stuff myself, stops great. Current supplier is Akebono. You guys have Brembo brakes over there, are they less expensive than over here? They make or made 6 and 8 piston front brakes and 4 piston rears for these trucks.

These cars were never officially sold in Europe by Chevrolet/GM, so getting parts almost always involves RockAuto and international shipping. No one in their right mind pays almost 20€ (~23$, example) for one oil filter at US Car Part Dealers when you can get 12 ACDelco filters from RockAuto for about 60€ with shipping, taxes and import fees. With them, prepaying the customs fees right at the checkout will speed up shipping a lot and save the FedEx processing fee here, you'll have your stuff within a week.

Modifying the brake system with bigger rotors for example always involves getting the modification approved for road use, and with these cars that can be a little bit of a pain. On a stock Tahoe, basically everything is exempted already from normal German road laws since it was not built according to EU standards in regards to windshield glass, seatbelt anchor screws, headlights, taillights, and so on. There are companies specializing in this though, and they'll do modifications like this for you and have them legalized right there in the shop.
