Aspirator fan for the auto A/C...

It's dirty. You can take it apart and clean it or get a new one.

At first, I thought this was a joke (like muffler bearings).

I can never tell with Nathan :hands:

Good to know though. Thanks. ^^^^

Wow didnt even know that. Do I just pop out the cover and get in there? Or is this something complicated? Thanks fellaz

Mine was making a rattling noise. It is easy and so inexpensive to replace that I would not spend time cleaning or repositioning. Also I did not remove sun visors and A pillars covers and door molding.

All I did was pry off the speaker like cap, from inside the car, using some plastic trim tools. The cap has four leg like tabs that release when pushed in and pried up. Next I opened the sun roof and removed the plastic rectangular trim edging around the sunroof (pull it away from the frame and it will easily come off. Then, using my plastic trim tools, I gently pried the ceiling downward so I could see the sensor and reach my hand in.

If you take your time you can pull the sensor towards the sunroof and gain access to the tab of the wire clip. I found it easier to break the tab of the old sensor and gently pry the clip off with a thin screw driver. The connecting wire is not quite long enough to reach the sunroof so it takes a little playing with it to disconnect and reconnect the plug but you can do it.

Next I put the new sensor in the ceiling and coaxed the plug back into the sensor until it clicked. Then I slid the sensor into position and plugged the speaker like cap in to secure it in position.

Not only did the annoying rattle go away but the AC is much more responsive.
