i have a 96 tahoe about with 133,000 miles. basicly stock except for a BB 91 octane tune. Im hearing a noise coming from the back of my truck whenever it is running, the noise is something in between a buzz and a whine, more whine then buzz, haha, its loudest on the passenger side near the gas tank so i was thinking maybe the fuel pump, but my truck is running the same as always, the noise stays consistent no matter what the RPMs or the MPH is does that happen with a fuel pump or would the noise change? and wouldnt i be loosing performance? any ideas on what it is? or if it is the fuel pump?

it just started making the noise yesterday, before that the only noise i could hear from it was the normal noise when i turn the key to "on" but not start, and thats just a quiet buzz, wich it still does, i hope it holds out a wile longer because i cant afford any more parts for a little wile

ive owned 2 99 yukons and both of them had the loud fuel pumps. i would hear those things humming buzzing away all the time. if its really loud then you should look into a new one before it leaves you stranded. but from my experience the fuel pump noise is part of owning a obs tahoe/yukon

the price is roughly 500 but I think mine was 700 with a lifetime warranty... which was used twice...
