hi all,
2002 Yukon 5.3 4x4: started getting intermittent ABS light on only at low speed primarily in reverse. Finally had it read and got the two codes. Right and left front ABS sensor signal missing or open circuit or something like that. And looking on some videos of people replacing the sensor, the connector right by the upper front shock mount in one video was protected in a foil heat shield. I honestly can’t remember when the hubs were replaced a couple years ago ( which is about 10,000 miles now) if mine had that heat shield, but it doesn’t now. Does anybody have a heat shield around their ABS connector by the upper front shock mount? Anyone else have these two codes come on together? The search function on this forum only had one thread come through so hopefully I didn’t miss something and this is a repeat question.tia.

I guess they don't call me thread killer for nothing...
Found the culprit: first I cleaned both abs connectors by the top shock mount, and used dielectric grease. Still got abs light but only turns on with hard left turns. So I discovered that the right front abs line from the hub was secured different from the left, at the upper ball joint area, so when turning left, that cable is taut. Changed location of clip so cable has more slack, no more abs light.
Hopefully my experience will help someone else.
