cab light lenses

so i looked after i cleaned my roof off today and all my lenses were cracked :/ any ideas why they would crack. heat maybe? so i guess im gonna have to get new ones. but ive been thinking about getting the color changing parking lights when i get money and swaping all parking lights out to white leds. would white cab lights look good? found this picture of a dodge.. looks pretty sweet imo

Perhaps inferior plastic molding, over tightening, temp. extremes or a combination of those.

I would personally would keep them amber. I would think markers lights would want to be seen as just that, markers and the standard is amber with amber bulbs as well. Lights are there to quote Wiki "display information about the vehicle's presence, position, size, direction of travel, and driver's intentions regarding direction and speed of travel". White marker lamps just don't get that kind of justice. Only headlights, driving, Spot, dome, courtesy or backup lights do.

If it was something that was installed at factory at one time then I would use that option info and try local part store for replacement lenses first as well as there website then maybe the dealer. Lmc does those I just don't know the quality of them. Oreielys for example had over 70 on there web under universal alone.

these were from lmc. but i just need the lenses not the whole cab light set this time

Don't see them with just the lens always as a complete assembly.

At any rate google shopping for the best price and maybe near you. They are Dorman 69995 units.

yes they look like the one you posted, but clear ones. all i can find is them for like 40 bucs just for lense

40 for the set of 5 lenses. its stupid. i can get a whole new kit from lmc for that much

But not in the color you like. 40s not bad for the set.
