I bought a new filter, but cant get the glove box out. I removed the 2 screws at the top and then the 2 under the box and also removed the cable, which is on the right side. it still wont budge. Any ideas? The manual makes it look easy, but has a picture of screws inside the actual glove box compartment. I don't have visible screws in the compartment. Thanks.

I just did this last month. The glove box door will swing down out of the way once you disconnect the cable. I believe I had to squeeze it together to get past the opening (left and right sides inward; there was a stopper that had to clear the opening). Then I had access to the screws to remove the inside cover. I could be wrong but I remember there being 6 screws. Takes a little wiggling to get the inner cover out. Then the filter slides out. If it wasn't midnight and I wasn't rocking my 1 year old back to sleep id go out and pull it apart again. I recall it being pretty easy. I was just annoyed with the length of the screws. Wished I had my power screwdriver at the time. (Part of the reason I just got one) If you continue to have issues I'll go back in and grab some photos this weekend.

I saw the stopper on the inside of the compartment and squeezed sides but still couldn't get it out even after the cable was removed. I will try again. I guess Im scared to brake something.
