First, glad that no one was injured in any way.

Second, maybe I'm crazy, since it seems I might be the only one who wants no parts of a vehicle that suddenly burst into flames with no obvious/apparent cause. The last thing I'd be thinking is to pull the engine and rebuild/reuse it. To the contrary, I'd be throwing holy water at it to exorcize its demons and then walking away from it.

Did you ever find the cause of the fire? I have a 6.2 and definitely don't want to experience the horror you went through. I'm glad everyone is safe, so sad to see a nice Escalade all burned up though.
