So the supplies came in to build the pigtails that address the different X705 & X805 connector on the left & right Escalade door harness and they work great.
There were two main issues to solve.
First, the Escalade rear door harnesses both include a gray 6 pin connector that has four wires going to it vs. the black 2 pin connector on the Tahoe/Yukon that supplies the LED courtesy light in the interior door handle cavity. The other 2 wires in the esky connector would feed a tweeter located on the interior door panel.
It’s the gray connector on this esky harness.
Second, this section of the esky harness is physically too short to reach the LED connector on the Tahoe/Yukon door panel. This is due to the esky interior door panels having a different design and wiring layout.
Notice how the gray retainer doesn’t go up to the tab on the door panel. Also, the connector lands to its mate just to the top out of frame. This pic also shows my first attempt at solving the connector problem.
So I decided to make a pigtail to address both issues.
As you can see, I moved the gray retainer farther out on the harness so it would reach the tab. I made the pigtail so it loops around the panel connector. This gives enough play to ensure the gray connectors don’t prevent the door panel from sitting flush.
