Well, I just finished my first full tank after installing my AEM CAI. It made a pretty nice difference in gas mileage. I was getting 15.7 mpg prior to the install and got 16.7 mpg on this most recent tank. :jawdrop: Pretty nice considering I do mostly city, stop and go driving. Its rare that I get to take it up to 65 and just cruise for miles. The sound is definitely more agressive. However, I don't really feel anymore power or throttle response. I'm hoping the advantages of the CAI will come into play more when paired with an exhaust and BB tune which I know will increase performance.

You shouldnt lose mpg with a less restrictive filter and duct if your driving style is the same, Did you disconnect your negative battery cable when you installed the system?

:Handshake: I agree. I think most people see a decrease in mpg due to the heavier foot they experience once they hear the agressive tone under the hood. I've been keeping my driving style the same and saw a pretty nice increase as I shared. I did disconnect the battery in an effort to allow the computer to "reset" and learn the new air flow rates once the CAI was installed. So far so good!
