Ok new here but wished I had found this when I started having problems anyway first the basics. 08 Yukon Denali w/6.2 flex fuel ok trouble started when one day out of the blue it suddenly started idling rough and eradic was also surging and seemed to be using excessive fuel like maybe the choke was malfunctioning anyway finally get the codes pulled got like 30 different ones so I had them clear it drove it for 30 min went back got code for cam sensor when I got a day off work went to swap it out I seen that the bolt was missing allow the wiring bracket to move around ended up unable to remove sensor from timing cover anyway had to remove timing cover to get sensor out that's when I discovered that the wiring bracket had been able to move forward enough to get wires in pulley and cut them got new wiring and bracket from GMC the new one had an extra 2 wires and plug no place to plug this in that I could find hoping it was for some option mine didn't have went ahead and put it all together and nope same thing so I'm sure that wire and plug that got tore out is needed just don't have any idea where it goes or what it's for if I knew that could get that wiring plugged in and maybe fix this problem love the Denali hate wiring problems any help with info would be greatly appreciated thanks

Guessing you have a vvt engine. Your cover should look like the left. Only thing I can think of for another connector.
