Cam Suggestions??

Hey guys, I got a quick question on what your opinion for the best cam for my situation would be. I don't know what all is out there or where to begin for cams, that's why I'm asking.

The truck is a 5.3L with 250k on original engine and trans. I want to make some more power, as it is slowww with the 33" tires on it, but I don't want to destroy the transmission or my already crappy mileage (12.). It also has 3:73 rear end. So, what cam should I throw in her? I don't want a huge lopy cam, I just want to wake the truck up. It will be BB tuned after cam. Thanks, if any more info is needed, let me know. So, what do you think?

Call up a cam company, let them know your desires, and they will recommend a grind.

If your set on the 33" tires. I would change the gear ratio to a 4:56-4:88's. Just my opinion.

Honestly you will probably be happy with changing your gears to at least a 4:10, 4:56 would be better but wave bye bye to your mileage.
