So I just added a maxtrac 3/4 drop on my 05 Tahoe. Maxtrac assured me that I would not need to install a camber alignment kit.

The truck is going to the alignment shop tomorrow morning and I bough a kit to just be on the safe side and it arrived today.

When is this kit required for a drop?

Thank you for your guys input.

depending on how you lowered your truck, If you used torsion keys only, you'll likely have more camber than if you used a drop spindle/key combination.

A spindle keeps the factory geometry, just moves the hub location up 2" from stock. Keys reindex the torsion bar, causing more camber.

hope this helps, Thanks

I have mcgaughy 2 inch spindles an 3/4 ton purple keys. My alignment guy said I’m bottomed out on the Camber but it’s perfect he said. If I went lower I’d have a problem. An I’m pretty low in the front.
