Cameras Offline

Saturday my Cameras went offline on my 10 day old Ultimate. When put in reverse the screen would show a red triangle with an exclamation point. Hitting the Camera button did nothing.

Emailed the dealer to set up service to look at, and he suggested in the meantime I can try disconnecting the negative battery post for a few minutes.

Did this and started the vehicle, cameras back to normal.

No idea what caused it.

Hope that helps someone else. But also hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else. Reality is that GM needs to stop outsourcing code to Bangladesh and step up their software QA.

When all else fails, reboot, I guess.

The software on these rigs has issues…agreed.

I wish they had a better way to report bugs.
