Here's my update.
Installed new : tail shaft housing
yoke
and u-joints (front and rear)
Disassembly was very easy. 4 bolts on the rear u-joint and the drive shaft slid right out.
My biggest concern with removing the nylon locks in the u-joints was/is my driveshaft is aluminum and heating it up made me very weary. I don't have a torch and my tiny propane one was not capable so, I farmed it out. I also brought up my concern with heating it up with the shop, they didn't seem too concerned and it seems to be the only way to remove them, so I left it with them.
While I was waiting for the yoke/u-joints, I removed and installed my tail shaft housing. It was very easy. I put a jack under the trans with a 2x4 and a couple of shims to square up the 2x4 to lift it straight up.
I lifted the jack up enough to put a small amount of pressure on the trans while I loosened the two mounting bolts (15mm) after they were removed I lifted the jack enough to get the two bottom bolts of the housing (also 15mm). The housing bolts broke free pretty easy and removal and installation took me a few minutes.
While I waited for the phone from the shop, I cleaned MAF and added some Royal Purple fuel system cleaner.
Shortly after, I got the call and picked up my driveshaft.
Lets just say, I'm not too thrilled with this shop. Even after mentioning my concern with the heat and it being aluminum, they still managed to fry my driveshaft. I'm waiting for the pictures to download.

The only special tool needed was a ball joint/u-joint press. Rented at your local parts store. I used regular hand tools, no power tools.

This is what they did to the driveshaft.
Am I overreacting?
