Can you chance the gauge face color in an 07+ Avalanche?

I've had the itch and feel like completing another mod. I wanted to purchase some reverse white gauge faces for my 2010 Avalanche. However the stock gauge faces project a green light. Is this color just painted onto the back of the gauge cluster or are there actually colored LEDs behind it that are producing the face color. I would love to have white or silver gauge backing with blue lit lettering instead.

If somebody could confirm this... it's my understanding that 07 and up vehicles no longer use "user replaceable" twist bulbs. For those of you that have completed a cluster swap I'd love to hear your experiences in doing so!

Ecalade guage cluster on '11 Tahoe

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes the Cadillac Escalade guage cluster that can be installed on an '11 Tahoe? I checked US Speedo as previously posted in this thread but they only have it compatible up to 2007. Please help!

Also how simple is the install? are there any computers or resets needed to complete this mod?

Hmm I dont think you can. The Esky gauge cluster is completely different and shows a digital read out of the speedometer. The DIC is also a different size.

You can't just do the cluster. Doesn't fit, wrong wiring etc. You can do the entire dash though. New wiring harness and complete dash and everything will fit perfect!

changing the whole dash sounds EXPENSIVE!! and a little out of my league...

Anyone know of an aftermarket product or manufacturer of a 'ESKY style' cluster?
