Hi all, I have a 2022 RST with 22" wheels. Anyone able to buy winter tires for this size?
I called Discount tires but wasn't able to place an order due to this tire size currently on backorder.
Plus, a whole second set doesn't take up much room and you can change get them out yourself in about 15 minutes. I keep 2 sets for both of my yukons and it works good.

Again, just a opinion, not gospel

I ran a set of 22” snow tires on a 2018 Expedition and it still sucked in the snow. Way too much footprint.

Downsized to a set of 18” takeoffs with 18” Blizzaks and it was MUCH better. Sold that vehicle and are going to use the 18” Blizzaks on this ‘22 Burb which I just got a set of takeoff 18” wheels to use for winter.

I drove a 2007 Tahoe for many years and swapped the rubber on the rims year after year, and regretted it many times.

When I purchased the new Denali, that first winter I purchased snow tires on another set of rims (nice ones!).

Best way to go!!!

Terry.

I put on GMC 18" rims rather than 22"s so I could run chains on my snows when in MT/ ND. No issues with the stock calipers.

I have a set of Defender 285/45 R22 in good shape and they are on a set of 2015 factory Escalade rims complete with center caps. they would be perfect for a 2nd set of winter tires and rims. 2 of the rims have matching dents on the inside of rims around 2 to 3" but not terrible. If they were put on the rear, I doubt it would be noticeable as far as ride is concerned or if at all period. But I am located in central Fla so don't know about shipping costs, but I will sell at a good price just to see someone get some use out of them or would sell separately. Not looking to retire off of them. I picked them up thinking the rim would look good on my 05 but it is too much rim for my taste and my year. Sticking with my 20's.

I recently downsized from the factory 22” to 18” for the winter.
