Can't Remove Luggage Rack ?

Has anyone ever tried to remove their luggage rack?
I tried to remove the screws for the mounts and they just spin, the screws won't, come out.
Are there weld nuts under the roof or what???

i hear its a pain in the ass and a eye swore once removed with no filler and paint i think some guy on here took it off and had to drop the headliner to get to them

I will second that, what are you trying to say?

Anyway, I had to remove the left rail because it was bent, but the only way to get those rails off is to remove the mount, well, the left rail was bent anyway so I cut it in half and took it off.
I was hoping to get a new piece from the junkyard, but I don't know if I will be able to get them off either.

I'm going to have to assume you mean, YES there are ! weld nuts under the roof, and they broke loose and are spinning.
That's what I have been thinking anyway, I tried four screws, they all spin

You really need to get the headliner down a bit to get at them when they do that.

How about the load strips that run along the roof length wise? Do I need to pull the headliner out for those too?
