Hi guys,

Just bought black Tahoe LT 2015. As this is my first Tahoe, must say very impressed with the car overall.

Issue haven't thought of before purchase of this black beauty, extreme weather condition: very high temps in summer (up to 140 F), with UV rays striking car paint most of the day (park outdoors).

I had couple of white cars, they did develop color fading, yet it took several years for the color to fade. While my neighbor's "black" MB S500 - model 2010 faded paint in matter of 2 short years in direct sunlight! again due to "extreme UV" rays.

Appreciate if anyone know of reliable product as cover for protection from damaging UV exposure.

Thanks.

Been looking at www.covercraft.com

They have a comparison chart for all covers that they offer. I called directly and they sent me samples of the Sunbrella and Weathershield HD swatches free of charge. The cover for my 2006 Tahoe runs about $600 and change. You can even request felt to be sewn into the seams for $25 to reduce chafing on the paint.

The lady said both options are very popular with vehicles parked for long periods of time that take heavy UV, but most people use the HD option.
