Cargo area cubby?

I know it covers the wheel well, but is there anything else behind this panel in the cargo area (on a tahoe) or is there enough room to fit another subwoofer the same size as the stock?

It's for the door locks.

Yeah the 2002s and earlier have a rear door lock, it's pretty handy
