CB Radio

Folks, I know that it's old school but, has anyone installed a CB radio in their 2015+ vehicle? Doesn't seem like a lot of space. Also, I've historically drilled holes for antenna but I'm nervous to drill into a $60K+ vehicle so will more than likely try something with the existing roof rack.

I have a 2018 GMC Yukon Denali XL and use a K40 CB and Magnet antenna and haven't had any problems

Police and Fire drill multiple holes for antennas and wiring for light bars without a problem.

I’m a Amateur Radio operator & have 2 systems I’m adding to mine. I have a 3 magnet mount for thick antennas, and a 1 mag mount for 2m & 440hz antenna (small) I can easily run wires through the top of the back glass & hide them all the way back up to me. Plus being a “ham operator” my tag is always free, just a $13 yearly tax fee.

Check with ham radio outlet they have mounts that can articulate and go on either a trunk or a rear hatch door and then you can screw the antenna onto that and won’t have to drill a hole in your vehicle
