So I finally purchased the leveling kit for the wife's '07 Z71 Tahoe. Got to installing last weekend and only had enough time to do the front. When I was finished i measured the front and back, ground to wheel wells, only to find that they were exactly even front to back. I double checked from top of tire to wheel well and they were all the same. So for right now I'm going to leave the rear "leveling kit" off of it. I don't plan on hauling anything anytime soon, so i'm not too worried about loading the rear down, giving it the Cali lean. I wanted it to be perfectly level and it is.

Anyone else experienced this same phenomenon?

When I installed the exact same kit (front and back) on my 07 Z71, the rear was ~0.25" higher than the front. So I am guessing that without the rear spacer, the rear would have been ~0.75" lower.

Treyr8d,

Do you still have this same set up? Do you have any pictures? I would like to do the same set up with the 2.5" in the front and nothing in the back.

Thanks.

Have CCM questions??

I have an '08 Z71 2WD and I'm considering the CCM 2.5f/ 1.5r leveling kit. I'm curious as to how this kit affect this ride and steering of the vehicle compared to stock setup. The final setup will be this kit with 305/55/20 TerraG or Cooper Zeon LTZ on stock 20" LTZ wheels. Can anyone give me some insight to the ride and steering after the kit was installed?

On my 08 LTZ I didn't notice any ride difference whatsoever. The only difference was that the view out the windshield higher! Steering was fine but I had slight rub on the front fender liner (275-60/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers) but nothing that couldn't be fixed. I didn't like the look so I took it off, but it wasn't as a result of the kit itself. I think it would be great on a Z-71

Does the same CCM 2.5/1.5 kit fit on 4x4 and 2x4 GMT900 vehicles? Also how much did you pay for it?

SW CT,
Felix, the CCM kit will fit on both the 4x4 and 4x2 tahoes. Though I do not remember them offering a 2.5F/1.5R, I believe the rear spacer is only 1". Your best bet for pricing is to contact them direct via their website www.ccmoffroad.comor check out ebay(I know they have a store on there)

Exactly.. The CCM is a 2.5" front 1" rear. With shipping and all it was $141 from Cali to Tennessee. Kit is $129.
