That size tire is larger in diameter. The middle number (65) is the ratio of the tire sidewall height. That is, the tire side wall is 65% of 285 mm. So the tire diameter is 2 x (65%*285 mm*[1in/25.4mm]) + 18 in = 32.59 in. For the 265 width the diameter would be 31.56 in.
Makes sense. Thank you sir. Unfortunately I won't be buying tires before the tune - so I may just have to have the tune/speedo adjusted down the road after adding the tires.
