CEL codes

Question!!! is there anyway to pull error codes form an 06 chevy tahoe without hooking it up to an obdII scanner. I got a check engine light when I started my truck up this morning. the dic said reduced engine power. so i turned it off then started it back up and only got the CEL. it drove fine. I dont own a scanner so i was wondering if there is another way to pull codes. I have a dodge magnum and there is this process called a key dance which will give you any error codes. is there anything similar to that for a chevy tahoe.

OBD2 port is the only way.

Usually the REP message is caused by a dirty throttle body.

Key off, disconnect the battery. Then check and WIPE clean the throttle body and throttle plate with a wrag saturated with brake cleaner, do not spray into the T/B.

Reassemble, connect battery, start and allow engine to idle for 5+ minutes
