Just picked up a new center console for the Hoe on eBay ($430 shipped, was this a good deal?) and wanted to know how to go about installing it in to the vehicle. I'm still waiting for the console to be delivered but wanted to know how to install it before I receive it. Do I have to remove the seats? Or just slide the console in to place? Also, how is it secured.

Thanks for the help! I was finally able to get it installed. Just unscrewed the seats and pushed them out the way to install the bracket. I think it was better since those seats are pretty heavy.
Also, the center console has a cable for the outlets but I cant figure out where it plugs in to
do you have a ppv,ssv? I'm just wondering if you had to do any modifications.

I'm not 100% certain yet, but I think that harness plugs into the amp, that probably wasn't included with your console. Then, there's probably another harness that goes from the amp to the stereo head unit/HVAC in the dash.
I'm at the same point, having installed a similar console into our PPV Tahoe, but am lacking the harness that goes between the harness for the console controls at the back of the console and the stereo/HVAC. The FSM hasn't been much help, yet, but I haven't spent a lot of time studying it yet.
Hopefully someone who's done this will chime in, because it sure would be nice to get everything hooked up. Our dogs would LOVE to be able to control the back seat ventilation!!

what sockets did you use to remove the seats?

I had a better look today. A 9/16 6-point fits the front, and a 7/16" 6-point fits the back two bolts.

I answered your PM, but I'll also answer here, just in case others need the info. You'll actually need Torx E-bits (the female version of a torx bit), but we had no issues using 6-point 9/16 deep socket for the front nuts, and a 7/16 socket for the rear bolts.
