I am going to add some usb ports to the rear of the center console, to the right of the cigarette power port, does anyone know how the rear of the console comes off? I tried to search for previous mod's but the search function on this site is broken (in my opinion), just trying to avoid breaking anything from the getgo, any tips or tricks? im hoping I don't have to pull the whole thing apart.

Did you get this mod done? I'm looking at adding a USB or dual USB charging port back there and any pics or part/install info would be appreciated

Yes I did it was pretty easy the cover just pulls off it has clips just like the plastic strips that hold the carpet down by the doors, I used a plastic tool and grabbed it from the top edge part and just pulled, once you pull it off there is plenty of room behind it I patched into the wire harness for the cigarette adapter, then I just took a razor knife and cut out just the right hole to put in the usb plugs and snapped it all back together. I would provide a picture but it's in the body shop right now. comes in handy the kids use it all the time to charge there tablets

After pulling mine off, I added a USB/AUX port in place of the cig lighter. USB connects to the old cig lighter now hidden behind console while AUX connects to radio up front. You can find this on amazon.
