I recently bought a center console from a Denali, I think it was 03+. I have it in my 02 Yukon. Now I am wondering what are the difference between the Yukon and the Denali as far as the bottom of the dash is, or is it a difference in year.

The console does not fit, I either have to do some trimming (witch I dont want to) or find either the glove box side, or under the steering wheel panels, to make the center console fit flush to the dash as it should in the Denali's.

Anyone know any tricks to the wiring to get the 12v out puts to work using the stock wiring from the 2002 Yukon, to the new Denali Console.

I had to remove the ash tray, and the flap that covers the 12v out puts on the dash. Did a little non noticable trimming on the console it self to get it to fit as flush as it is. But I want it to look factory. What am I in need of?

The wires you see are my CB Radio, that are hooked into the factory 3 12v plugs on the dash.

Probably be cheaper to sell it and get one from an 00-02, than to buy new everything else. Unless you want to custom fabricate something.

i was thinking if that the bottom of the dash did change shape and size from year, then maybe i can find a piece from that year of yukon, and swap it in... i got a smoken deal on the console. And took me a loooong time to find it. Im not really wanting to try and sell it and find it.. I paid 250$ CDN for it, and the console has all the bells and wistles and in superior shape. I could be wrong but do they come with a sub in the bottom? Seen a boss sticker on something that could be a sub, didnt think much of it till now.. The thing weights like a 100lbs

To get it to match up perfectly, you'd need a dash bezel from an 03-06, I believe.

Its not the bezel I need, its were the bottom of the dash is. Glove box level, straight accross to the driver side panel under the steering wheel. Theres no problem clearing up to the dash. The console is wider then what the bottom of the dash offers. If you look close enough to the second picture you will see a gab, then look at the top picture, and the top corner of the console looks to be off 1/2", witch is wider then what the space offers. And it looks like you can just swap the bottom out. But I am unsure. Once it fits flush it will al line up like factory. Or to what I think would be factory fit.

I am just wondering what piece I should hunt for. If the glove box is smaller, or if the peice under the steering wheel is...

I have an 02 tahoe and i bought a 03+ console and the part I bought from gmpartsdirect was the glovebox piece, they're a little different in width, now it fits great.

AWESOME!! Thanks a pile. What did you do for the electronics part of it? All I want to work is the 12 volt out puts to work. I think that there is on them.

It should be under instrument panel, from there just look at the illustrations to see which part it is, just make sure you put in the year of the newer part. the electronics part plugged right into it and works fine.

Ok thank you.

My plugs dont even match up, there not even close... Hmmmmmmmm... I know that theres a BOSE sticker on the bottom of something that might be a subwoofer? I dontknow.. But there was 2 plug ins, one if i remember correctly, looks bigger and the other is a smaller thinner one.. Could be wrong, will have to look into it more when I am at home and can tare the seats out again.
