Isn't that always the case? I hear ya...I was fortunate in that both the mechanic and the salesman saw my screen flickering. Per whoever the local dealer service department called, this is a known issue apparently related to the wire they have to dig into. My fear now is I'm going to have a rattling dash board after they tear it apart at least twice.

What's surprising to me is how little the local techs know about this truck. I understand it's a first model year and all...but do they not offer training etc. for mechanics or do they just depend on them calling some tech support line for help with everything but an oil change?

That's the case with pretty much all your dealer level car repairs unfortunately.

How does one reboot the Intellilink system? Is it as simple as turning the vehicle ignition off and then on again? Is there any way to do it without turning off the ignition?

It would seem likely that I (and many others) will need to reboot this thing occasionally as there definitely appear to be some bugs in the programming.

Thx

Yeah when I said reboot I meant cycling the ignition. If there is another way I am not aware

They tell me there is a bad wire somewhere in the dash, they've ordered the wire and I can bring the truck back in a week or so when the wire arrives and they'll replace it. Interestingly, since picking the truck back up the screen hasn't cut out at all.

Wife just called me to tell me on her way to pick up the kids.... the screen is not working. Hopefully cycling the ignition fixes it. That's going to be annoying if it turns into a regular occurrence.... only 4500 miles.

Only other issue so far seems to be the driver seat clunk.

Mine is doing this now with 4000 miles on it. The screen will lock up, I am not able to set my favorites etc. I have had it in and out of the dealership three times now and they usually let it sit for a day or two and then call me saying they cant replicate the problem. I will pick it up, it will be working fine again and then two hours later it will begin to freeze up etc. Definitely has to be some bugs in the system.
