Hi, I just picked up a new to me 2005 Tahoe LS and the center console does not look stock. The lid is missing and I haven't been able to find a match on the web, so I figured I would ask here.

If I cannot find a new lid, perhaps someone here could point me in the direction of a drop in replacement.

Here is the links to the pictures of what I have:

Thanks in advance.

Other than the console, its in amazing shape inside and out.

Agreed! Very clean.

The SSP's typically did not include a center console in favor of the police-style radio holder consoles.

I'm a big fan of ex-service vehicles. I've purchased many Crown Victorias over the years from police departments for under $1k and driven them for a long time!

As far as consoles to use, just go on Amazon and search for "SUV center console" or "mini van center console". There are many nice styles to choose from, and your budget will be the only limiting factor.

I always loved this one in my cop cars, but it may not be tall enough for an SUV: http://a.co/118nLIQ

I wish I didn't have a center console. I don't use it for anything, and I would rather have more room for my legs. Part of the reason I like the OBS trucks so much.

I threw in a jump seat from a 2007-2014 truck. The brackets line up in the same factory holes as on our trucks.

How much room do you need, man???

I'm 6'7 and over 330 lbs, I have plenty of room in my YukonXL. Jump seat in the middle.

My old '96 Tahoe, I made brackets to shift the seats back 1 1/2", and to the side 1 1/2". By pushing them outwards towards the doors a bit, I made enough room to be able to fit a 12" wide sub box between the seats. I didn't do that in my XL, as my subs are in the rear quarter panel.
