chalking for dash cracks

Anyone try black chalking for the dash crack problem?
I have 3 of these trucks, and they all cracked. Rattling around.

I'm thinking black exterior window chalk.

200,000 miles, I'm not spending $1000 on a dash..

Chalk or caulk?

Yea, that spell check and preemptive text can be a pita. He meant flocking

You must mean caulk. Regardless, you can use an electric heated staple gun and repair it from the backside. You have to remove the dash first. I’ve tried it but mine was too brittle and the entire dash just started breaking when I did it. Here’s one of the videos. I wouldn’t expect it to look perfect but since you have 3, you might get pretty good at it.

might be a experiment to try RIT+Gorilla Glue, put just enough RIT in to make the glue black but not cause the glue to not work.
could try it on something plastic and see how it works, might need a little smoothing as it dries, gorilla glue bubbles a little as it cures.
I might try it myself and see how it works in theory. Gorilla glue is very strong

OR some black pigment that is mixed with resin which is often used on boats
I have some white pigment but no black
this might suffice
