change 3.42 to 3.73 gears question?

if i swap from my stock 3.42 to 3.73 gears do i have to do anything else? programming etc ?

i went ahead an ordered a set of yukon 3.73 for my rear. I am going to rebuild my rear completely so i just thought i might as well go down one size. don't reckon it will make that big of a difference since i am already getting mid 12's mpg. i plan to just unplug the front diff until i get it regeared and rebuilt before next winter.

What Transfer case? You should be OK with a NP241, but if you have a push button unit you're going to burn it up.

Speedo will be off. it is highly recommended that you redo both at the same time. Make sure to get the master install kits with the gears too.
