change radiator hoses

2007 tahoe 120,000 miles
I do a lot of driving and do not need a breakdown going to flush radiator and change upper and lower hose should i replace thermostat while there or leave alone do they ever go bad?
also is it easy to do or have a pro do it?

I did my wasser pumpen, upper, lower and little by pass hoses at around 120,000 due to pump leaking badly. I did change my thermostat but only because I was in there doing the rest. It was not that difficult for a shade tree guy like me. Why don't you keep one with you with some tools in a bailout bag if you are that worried. There is no telling how long one will last. Sorry, I just realized different motor but the thermostat issue is the same.

Should I also change out the water pump as well and have no worries for another hundred thousand miles

there again water pump cheap i think i paid 80 bucks for one on amazon i also replaced my belts when changed out my water pump as well
and yer gonna need a large adjustable wrench and small sledge to break that bolt loose that holds the fan clutch on
