Change your power steering fluid!

Hey all,

Word of advice, change that power steering fluid. My power steering cooler failed, so I replaced it. Decided to flush the power steering system while I was at it. Extracted the fluid that was left in the reservoir and put some fresh in, then pulled it out again. It was so brown and nasty, some of the worst looking fluid I have seen. I have flushed a gallon of fluid through the system and it’s still gross although far better.

Change that fluid!

I flush mine annually, it does get nasty even after just 1 year. same with brake fluid

Now that the summer is coming I am going to do that also. Sounds like a great idea. I am going to have my brakes checked also.

Just did mine last week and your right it gets pretty bad. It did solve a minor issue I had - at least for now.

I also threw a filter on my return line for good measure
