My camera wouldn't focus. And the pic worked well enough to illustrate my point.

Not according to Doug. The pic only has some meaning because of the story that comes with it. Plus you know what you are looking at. The other pic helps more and is great.

Ron thanks for your help. When I bolted the top first and Jacked up the control arm the strut went right in. 5-10 min. Next I will be getting new tires and an alignment!

That's why the bolt sleeves at each end of the shock are mounted in rubber so the arm can deflect up and down and the shock can expand or contract and still "flex" instead of just breaking the ends off. Make sure the shop that does the alignment checks the front end, steering/suspension, thoroughly so the alignment actually accomplishes something. Is best to get a before and after printout from the shop and post those readings on here.

Here's my new tires and the results from my alignment. They did mention that I have a lot of play in my gear box. But it's still about 2 inches from left to right. I guses that's next. and they said my brakes pulsate. I never even noticed

From what I could see or make out from the alignment readings you do have a little higher caster on the right front which is good.

That picture isn't that great either. Sorry, I think I have a better one on my other thread
