Chasing a clunk in the front end

Holy Crap, that is some ******** right there...so much for a 5yr/100,000mile drivetrain warranty...I'd be writing GM a letter on that.

Dealer said it's a "maintenance item" thus the charge. $120 to change the oil and lube the slip joint. I think it's time to change dealers.

I had the exact same thing........Driver side motor mount had separated. Covered under warranty. Have them check it. When the engine torques, it lifts up the driver side of the engine and drops it back down. Let us know if this is it.....Good luck.

I have the exact same issue. I just changed the front struts last weekend and it still does it so I know on my truck it's not a strut/shock issue...

Any updates?

tow check out the lower bushings on the control arms. Ive been getting many gm ones that are rotting out especially in the rear. Also look at the lower shock where attaches to the frame make sure rubber bushing is ok there also.

same exact issue here. i do think its the motor mount. wonder how much this will cost me?
