hearing chatter / rumble sound that sounds like the front differential trying to engage while driving. doesn't do all the time, but getting worse. What makes the 4 wheel engage, vaccum? electrical?...Brought to dealer and they couldn't find problem. It's doing this in 2 wheel drive.

you could unplug the actuator in the front differential to see if it makes any difference but unless there is a short and it's somehow engaging on it's own then that is probably not the issue.
