Check your rear leaf springs!!

With the upcoming 3-day weekend for most, I ask that you spend some time with your Tahoe or Yukon.

My truck has been making a clunking noise when accelerating from a stop. The sound was consistant with a bad u-joint or a slip-yoke that needs some grease.

I crawl underneath the truck in my driveway to find that I have a broken leaf spring. Granted, it's not the main leaf, but it's still a concern!!

My local supplier has them in stock and I will see them today. Granted, they will cost more than an online source, but with shipping (online), I'll be in the same ballpark.

I agree! I had no idea that this had occured until I had a flat tire one day. Doesn't hurt to bend over and take a quick peek!

Make sure yours doesn't look like mine did!
