Been dealing with a GMC dealer in Virginia the past two days for an in transit Yukon Denali. Theyre already low-balling me on my trade in by a few grand and wont budge, charging $5000 market adjustment, made me run a credit app after I told them Id leave a refundable deposit. Now they say they want $1000 non-refundable deposit. I flat out told him no. He intially told me time was of the essence since the truck had so many views. If that’s the case, They won’t have any issue finding a buyer if the deal falls through. I have zero issues putting a refundable deposit since they don’t know me and it’s an in demand vehicle. He also made me run a credit app to “insure the dealership and customer”, but a non-refundable deposit only helps them.
